
Chijioke Asomugha — Managing Partner
Chijioke serves as Managing Partner at Gratitude Growth Partners. Previously, he co‑founded FVLCRUM fund, a $300 million growth equity and buyout firm focused on investing in diverse‑led private companies of scale.
Before this, Chijioke served as the Global Head of Data Sharing, Privacy, and Ethics at Capital One, where he led a $1.1 billion enterprise-wide initiative to reduce the company’s largest data‑sharing risks. He oversaw a team of 40 professionals responsible for digital transformation efforts, including third‑party data‑sharing strategies, cybersecurity risk, and acquisitions. His work provided quarterly insights to the board of directors, regulators, and lawmakers—ultimately reducing enterprise data risk by 44% through the launch of innovative products. In this role, he collaborated with leading global fintech organizations to negotiate industry‑defining partnerships that shaped emerging practices in data privacy and cybersecurity.
Prior to Capital One, Chijioke served as Executive Vice President at ERICO International, an industrial technology firm (now nVent). He managed over $100 million in revenue and 55 employees across the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and China. He led international expansion across four high‑growth regions through joint ventures, acquisitions, and supplier development initiatives. As the youngest member of ERICO’s Executive Management Committee, he oversaw the firm’s $650 million debt and equity portfolio, previously serving as Treasurer and Chief Procurement Officer, managing $340 million in annual spend and driving supplier diversity programs. He ultimately led the firm’s sale to Pentair for $1.8 billion as Global Head of Strategy and Growth.
Previously, Chijioke was a Principal Investor at Cyprium Partners, where he executed private equity transactions across the industrial, consumer, and technology sectors, contributing to raising more than $1 billion in assets under management. During this time, he served on five portfolio company boards and helped lead major investment initiatives.
